The Guilt Trippers
Frasier and Roz spend the night together.
At Daphne’s birthday party, Roz admits that she’s dreading her upcoming family reunion in Wisconsin. Relatives like her “perfect” sister, Denise, don’t know she and Roger have broken up, and Roz can’t bear to admit that she’s lost yet another potential husband. Meanwhile, Niles presents Daphne with a pair of tickets to Hawaii – a romantic gesture which only plunges her mother, Gertrude, deeper into despair over the break-up of her marriage.
Roz stays to help Frasier clean up after Daphne’s party. He offers to go to Wisconsin with her to lend moral support, then invites Roz to hang out with him while they watch a movie. After commiserating about their lousy love lives, Frasier and Roz wind up falling into bed together! The next morning, Frasier wants to discuss what’s happened, but Roz panics and flees town without him. Fearful that their one-night stand could ruin their friendship, Frasier follows Roz to Wisconsin.
To cheer up Daphne’s mother, Niles persuades Daphne to take Gertrude to Hawaii, while he secretly sneaks off to England to find Mr. Moon and bring him back to Seattle. Frasier arrives at Roz’s sister’s house, where everyone assumes he’s Roger. He gamely goes along with the charade and charms Roz’s family. Later, Frasier and Roz discuss the awkwardness of their liaison, yet vow to remain friends forever. Across the Atlantic, Niles locates Harry Moon in a pub. But once Niles states his intention to reunite Harry with his wife, Harry tosses him out onto the street.
