Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers is one of the hardest-working celebrities in the world. An entertainment legend of unparalleled talent, she’s an internationally renowned comedienne, Emmy winner, Tony-nominated actress, best-selling author, screenwriter, director, jewelry and cosmetic company entrepreneur, red carpet fashion maven — and most important, a proud mother and grandmother.
Conrad
Born and bred on the beaches of Southern California, avid surfer Conrad has been Melissa’s dear friend for years. When he was down on his luck, Melissa offered him a place to live until he could find a job. Since then, Conrad has bounced back and is now living on his own. A successful real estate broker, "Uncle Conrad" is still Melissa’s rock. He is there for her – and Cooper – through all the ups and downs. Conrad may be out of the house, but he will always be a huge part of Melissa’s life.
Sabrina
The voice of reason, Sabrina is Joan & Melissa’s LA-based assistant who works out of Melissa’s home. She’s worked for the Rivers for twenty-three years and holds all the family secrets. You don’t want to mess with Sabrina; she will shut you down in a nanosecond if she smells BS. When Sabrina’s not putting out fires between Joan & Melissa, she’s putting them out in her own household, which includes husband Curtis and 14 year-old-daughter, Maya.
Melissa Rivers
Most people that see Melissa Rivers in all of her splendorous glamour on the red carpet have no idea that the style maven is an Ivy League graduate, an accomplished equestrian and a single mother. She’s also an accomplished television producer and has ample experience behind the camera as well as in front of it.
Dominica
Cooper’s nanny, Dominica, is a beautiful Swede who landed the posh job of working for Melissa soon after moving to the United States. Everyone loves her – except Joan, who believes Dominica is just too hot to be a good nanny. Although she's devoted to Cooper and sincere in her concerns for the family, we sense that Dominica secretly aspires to make it in Hollywood – as an actress, model, and perhaps the next host on the Red Carpet! She even has her own website: www.dominicawestling.com
Lynne
Melissa’s friend Lynne graduated Troy State University in Alabama before moving to New York City, where she tried stand-up comedy on a whim. She co-starred on SONY’s syndicated talk show Life and Style with Jules Asner and Kimora Lee Simmons, as well as the NBC shows Extra, The Other Half, and last year’s Shop & Style. Lynne also has her own half-hour special, Comedy Central Presents: Lynne Koplitz, currently in rotation on Comedy Central.
A frequent flier at the Rivers household, Lynne can be counted on to add her two cents on any issue (whether she’s asked or not). She’s also proved herself to be a reliable friend, whether pitching in with Cooper, dispensing advice to Melissa, or sparring as only comics do with Joan.
