Kim Kimble on Episode 2: Charity Case

As a business owner, clients can sometimes be a bit difficult and demanding; the hair industry is no different! However no matter the circumstance, I try to remain professional for my name sake and the greater good of my business.

I respect Omarosa for being able to handle her career the way that she has. I strive to run a professional salon. I disagree with Angela and Anthony in bad mouthing clients, no matter how tough they are to deal with. I felt that Angela was completely out of line in criticizing Omarosa!

If you’ve been paying close attention, my show has become a training ground to those who aspire to work in this hair industry. Angela going behind my back and talking smack about me just speaks to her disloyalty, and one day she’ll have to deal with karma, as it will come back to her. Angela is the prime example of how not to act; you will crash and burn in this trade. I’m showing you, my fans and viewers, how to remain professional, and even if someone deserves to be popped in their head, there is always a time and a place for everything. By not reacting to every action doesn’t make you appear weak. Salons will always be a revolving door for stylist with Angela’s disrespectful attitude. At the end of the day I pray for them, replace them, and move on.

If you want to be a part of a successful team I believe that you have to be a true team player. Apart from Anthony being my assistant, he is an individual and he can work for whomever he chooses. With that said, there is a respectful way in which he needs to go about asking to assist other stylists on jobs. In my opinion Terry is a team player! I appreciate him for getting clarity on the proper salon protocol in using Anthony in the future as an assistant.

I’ll admit I was a little surprised at my mom, Jas, for opening up and sharing the experiences of her past during our Omarosa interview. My mom displayed such growth and I’m excited to watch her live out the bright future that awaits her. I’m proud of you Jas!

Many probably weren’t surprised to see me let Charity go; unfortunately she wasn’t working out. I don’t approve of clients mistreating or being disrespectful to my employees by any means. However, as the receptionist of a high profile salon, it’s imperative that you know what clients have been booked for appointments, even if you aren’t familiar with their celebrity. I hope that Charity finds a more suitable job that works out better for her and I wish her all of the best.

I thank God every day for the blessings He has given me, and the position that my business is in today. I pray, daily, that God continues to give me the strength to work in this industry as a professional. Everyone should be treated with respect; I put out good karma and I know that I’ll be blessed for it in return.
