Everyone who is a fan of My Fair Wedding‘s David Tutera is aware of how talented this television host is when it comes to planning a wedding (and we can also assume how much he loves putting together breathtaking events!). And while making a bride feel like a princess on her special day is a huge part of his life, there’s also a lot more to this leading entertaining expert and author of My Fair Wedding: Finding Your Vision…Through His Revisions! than just creating memorable affairs. David candidly opens up to WEtv.com when we asked him these five thought-provoking questions.
What talent do you not have that you wish you did?
I wish I could play the piano. I tried, but my fingers didn’t move fast enough and my head was moving too quickly. I can read music, though. So what did I do? I bought a piano that could play itself. True story.
What’s your biggest fear?
Oh gosh, I have a big fear of dying, and you would think that I wouldn’t because my family has run a funeral home since I was a child, but I just really love life so much and I love living. Sorry it’s a heavy answer, but it’s the first thing that comes to mind. Other than that, I don’t have a fear of much and maybe even take too many risks.
What have you yet to accomplish, either personally or professionally?
Professionally, I’d love to do Lady Gaga’s wedding and also have dinner with Liza Minnelli…or maybe at the very least, have the opportunity to share a drink with them.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Spending time with my Nana. Just being with her at her house, sleeping over, going shopping, or having her come visit when I was a kid. She was a major influence over my life, so any childhood memory with her in it is a favorite.
What is something that people may be surprised to know about you?
I think people think that I like to go out and be glamorous, but personally I’d rather be relaxing at home or at a simple restaurant with family or friends. I’m more understated in my personal life.
