David Tutera’s weddings work best when his couples incorporate something from their own life into their wedding as their theme, but when he meets Shirley and Andy from Los Angeles, California, he finds a theme that poses a huge challenge: belly dancing. Shirley absolutely loves her hobby, but may have gone a little overboard in her planning: she plans to put herself and her brides in noisy shimmy belts, has peacock feather centerpieces, and to top it all off, she’s had a fake foam cake made to save money! Shirley’s bridesmaid dresses are a mismatched mess that don’t fit their body types, and when David sees Shirley’s dress, he’s floored by how big and dramatic it is, not at all matching Shirley’s personality or her theme. David’s biggest challenge might be yet to come, however, because Shirley’s venue for the wedding is a small Indian restaurant! In three weeks, David has to take this mismatched mess of a wedding and turn it into the ultimate sexy, exotic celebration of the art of belly dancing.
