Carrie & Jeff
As soon as Jeff met Carrie, it was love at first sight. The couple soon realized they were made for each other. Seven years and two kids later, this couple is finally ready to say "I do." So they’re planning the fairytale wedding that Carrie has been dreaming about for years.
Starting with the location, they’ve designed a sumptuous wedding that harkens back to a more romantic and opulent time. The venue they chose is an Italian styled waterfront estate built in 1916 by the wealthy industrialist, John Deering. The Renaissance inspired architecture and lush gardens provide a luxurious backdrop to their six hundred thousand dollar wedding. From the white and ivory tones in the décor and florals to the gold and silver tablescapes, bride Carrie’s vision is all about class, elegance and high society sophistication.
But it is the centerpiece of the ceremony that incorporates the most intricate décor details. The bride has always wanted to be married under a canopy and the custom made creation was designed with curly willow, moss and an array of white flowers to capture the spirit of the surrounding gardens on the 180-acre estate.
Carrie’s stunning Bagley Mishka wedding gown is a dress made for a princess; a Chantilly lace strapless sheath with Swarovski crystals along the neckline. And the bride’s Harry Winston jewelry that really sparkles. From the four carat, D Color, internally flawless, micropave ring to the two-carat flawless earrings, the bride’s jewelry comes in at four hundred thousand dollars.
The princess in this fairytale gets her hair styled in a very traditional up do but with a modern twist of long flowing loose ringlet curls. As the bride and groom exchange vows under the ethereal canopy, the groom has eyes only for his bride.
After the outdoor wedding, the guests enjoy a cocktail hour inside the estate and then stroll out to the east terrace for a lavish seven-course dinner under the stars. And then it’s party time as the bridal couple and guest dance into the night.
