This Is Home Now
Visits to the beach are a highlight of the Masche’s new life in Florida, but money’s tight with only one income. Jenny and Bryan’s plan is to “divide and conquer” as a team so while Jenny works, Bryan watches the kids. Dad can be a strict disciplinarian and when he gets mad, he can’t seem to control his temper. With two different parenting styles under one roof, conflict is inevitable.
Jenny and Bryan need another session with their marriage counselor, Dr. Debra Mandel and she gives them two homework assignments. First, Bryan and Jenny need to go on a date where they can’t talk about money or kids; and Bryan must deal with the anger issue that stems back from his upbringing with a tough-as-nails father.
On Bryan’s birthday, Jenny plans a simple family celebration with dinner at home and six different cakes decorated for Dad by the sextuplets. In the middle of it all, there’s knock on the door – Bryan’s parents, Big Bill and Laura, have arrived to surprise him! The sextuplets are excited to see their grandparents again and the visit gives Bryan the opportunity to have a real talk about the past with his dad. Father and son build a Masche family porch swing together and bond in the process.
