Working Mom and Mr. Mom
The Masches are in full swing with their new lives in Destin, Florida. Jenny starts her job as a Physician Assistant at a local hospital. It breaks her heart to say goodbye to the sextuplets four days a week, but for now she’s the sole bread winner. Since Bryan’s financial consulting business hasn’t taken off yet, he plays the part of stay-at-home dad – a role he never imagined for himself. After a trip to the grocery store that ends with a $200 tab, Jenny decides to plant a garden to save money. Bryan thinks it’s a great idea until it dawns on him that he’ll be the one tending it! As the kids grow, there are new challenges – they won’t stay in their beds and at least four kids crawl in with mom and dad every night. Bryan’s squeezed out, and left with no choice but to camp out in the boys’ room.
Jenny and Bryan desperately need some parenting advice and turn to pediatrician Dr. Ari Brown, who comes to the rescue with real solutions. When Bryan decides to take all six kids to a neighborhood playground, things quickly run amuck. He and Jenny decide to try out a supervised gymnastics class for the kids, but money is tight at the moment. Jenny keeps up with her mom Sue via video chat and grandma tells her she wants all the grandparents to go in on a group gift for the kids. Soon enough, three huge gift boxes arrive in Florida – packed with swing-set parts! With the family’s tight budget, it seems like a good solution to keep the kids occupied. Not known to be a handyman, Bryan wonders if he’ll manage to pull off the assembly!
