With the house falling apart, Sinbad is forced to pour money into repairs. While Meredith is running errands, Paige is apartment-hunting, and Royce is turning the guest house into a studio, Sinbad is stuck at home, dealing with a parade of handymen.

My dad’s old house was infamous for BBQ gatherings. Friends and family would come over on certain holidays for some good wholesome fun.
Sinbad has been set all day to get some “me-time” and fit in a guitar lesson. However, Meredith informs him that he can’t get out of the house today because he has to be home for the cable repairman. Meredith and Paige are off to a meeting for Paige’s career and will be out all day running errands. Sinbad goes to enlist Royce’s help, only to find that Royce is in the midst of turning the guesthouse into his own personal space.
Sinbad chides Royce, but then realizes that he’s missing the cable guy who didn’t even bother to ring the doorbell downstairs. As he chases the elusive cable van, the garage repairmen show up.
Later, Sinbad is still unable to get away for his guitar lesson and finds that Royce still isn’t out of the guesthouse, as had been discussed. Tensions between father and son run high as carpenters and a plumber run through the house.
