The Show Must Go On
Colorful entertainer Gail (“The Actress”) promises to attend her friend Eileen’s party dressed as Marilyn Monroe. She’s a perfectionist and finding the perfect wig proves difficult – will Gail loses confidence or will she be able to pull it off? Amateur funnyman Jack (“Mr. Romeo”) goes to comedy school to learn to be a stand-up comedian. After a few lessons, Jack’s instructor is still disappointed with his material and Jack’s starting to worry people might end up laughing at him instead of with him. Loving wife LaWanda copes with the stress of her husband’s ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) by dancing. After seeing a “flashmob” online, LaWanda organizes her friends to put on their own. Detailed planning and rehearsal prove a challenge, but she goes full steam ahead.
