Season 1, Episode 6
“Holy #$(% I’ve Got Boobs!”
Stephanie is devastated when her husband Jerald goes out of town for work while she undergoes breast surgery. When her mother-in-law refuses to help her recover without being paid, Stephanie gives Jerald an ultimatum.
The week of Stephanie’s breast surgery has finally arrived and Stephanie is excited to final get the D-cups she’s been dreaming about. But when the doctor warns her about the recovery time, she starts to worry. She reminds Jerald that he’s really going to have to pick up the slack while she’s recovering, and she’s not sure he can handle it.
Meanwhile, Casey is trying to find some time to focus on her home business, Designed for Babies, which sells clothing geared towards other moms with multiples. She needs to update her website and that means a photo shoot with the other moms as her models. Always the perfectionist, Casey needs everything in order down to the last detail. No easy task when you’ve got four toddlers constantly interrupting you!
Tonia’s doing some work of her own, but she’s focusing on her face. Her mama maintenance routine includes having Botox injections every couple of months. This time, she’s managed to convince Candace to come along too, to see if she might consider having some “refreshing” done too.
Candace takes her son Brooks to a local agent to see if she can get him involved in the world of child modeling. Candace’s intense personality immediately puts the agent on edge, especially when she brings up the fact that she wanted to be a model herself.
Stephanie is devastated when Jerald learns he has to be out of town for work while she undergoes her surgery. Deep down, Stephanie feels like Jerald could stay home if he wanted and she thinks his willingness to go is a sign that he’s just not interested in being there for her. Making matters worse, Jerald’s mom is the only person available to help Stephanie while she’s recovering.
After her successful photo shoot, Casey and Robbie head out to celebrate. Instead of the usual date night, they decide to get matching tattoos to honor their kids and commemorate how far they’ve come since the quads were born.
Stephanie is extremely uncomfortable when she returns home from surgery, not just from the pain, but also from sharing tight quarters with her mother-in-law, Terri. Even though Terri is supposed to be helping Stephanie, she doesn’t offer much support at all, and even demands to be paid for her time! In the end, it’s too much for Stephanie to bear and she asks Terri to leave. When Jerald arrives home, Stephanie issues an ultimatum. Either he stands up for her and talks to his mom or she’s done.
