A Brother’s Story
Brother and sister, Jerry Sloop and Debra Hall in Marion, Ind., have been on a quest to find their half-brother Michael David Peterson for almost 40 years. The siblings were separated as children when their mother became ill and was hospitalized. At the age of five and six, Jerry and Debra were sent to stay with their birth father. Michael, two years-old at the time, remained with his birth father, and moved to Salt Lake City with him shortly thereafter. Jerry and Debra have not had any contact with Michael since. After several failed attempts to find Michael using private investigators, they reached out to Troy.
The Searchers: Jerry Sloop, Debra Hall, and Marsha Kellems - After 40 years, they are longing to reconnect with their half-brother and son, Michael. They have hired private investigators in the past, but the searches have always proved to be unsuccessful. They want an answer to the question that has haunted them for decades: What happened to Michael?
The Searchees: Michael David Peterson - As a child, Michael was told by his father that his mother had mistreated him and that's why he was taken away. He always wondered about his mother and would periodically conduct searches on the Web in hopes of finding some information. He never knew that he had a brother and sister.
