Scott was raised in a typical middle-class Texas family where his father worked and his mother stayed home to raise him and his brother. But nine months ago, he received a phone call from his mother that would change his life forever. His mother explained that as a young teenager, she became pregnant and gave her firstborn son up for adoption. Now her estranged son, Keith, was calling for family history and trying to "stir up trouble." His mother refused to talk to Keith and asked him not to contact them anymore.

Scott Bass - The rest of Scott’s family sweeps the situation under the rug, but he feels terrible that they’ve turned their backs on his brother and calls on Troy for help locating him.  Scott, 39, is willing to risk angering the only family he’s known to reach out to a brother he never knew he had.

Keith (Donald) Dozier - Keith, 41, was shocked by Troy’s call. He’s excited to get to know his brother, since he has always been an only child and hopes their connection will help to open doors with his mother.
