A Daughter’s Mission

Alexia, 18, has not seen her dad since she was five years old. After her mother remarried, she lost all contact with him. Alexia has a few memories of her father when she was growing up in Pocono Summit, Pennsylvania; she can hear his distinctively gruff New York accent, but she can’t put a face to it. She longs to know why he’s made no effort to contact her.
Her mom refuses to speak of him. She is searching for her father without her mother’s knowledge. Alexia’s desperation leads her to Troy. Will Troy be able to find John without Alexia’s mother’s help?
Alexia - She didn’t even know her dad’s name until she had to get a copy of her birth certificate to apply for jobs. That’s when she began her search. She’s angry with her mom for withholding this information and angry with her dad for abandoning her. Alexia imagines she will confront her mom before going to meet her dad, but she knows there’s nothing her mom could say to stop her efforts.
Dad John - Troy found Alexia's dad an hour and a half outside New York City in Campbell, New York. John says his ex-wife knows how to find him; he hasn’t moved or changed his number for 26 years. He was shocked to get Troy’s call, but he’s ready to be reunited.
