A Daughter’s Two Dads
David wants nothing more than to help his stepdaughter Christa find her biological father, Dean. For over 20 years, since Christa discovered at the age of 13 that she had a different father, she has wanted to locate him. She is not even sure if he knows she exists. Christa worries that they have exhausted their searches, and is at the point of giving up hope, but David is not ready to quit. Christa gets emotional wondering if her father has ever looked for her, and there is a part of her that is terrified of his rejection.
The Searchers: David, seeking his stepdaughter Christa’s biological father—David has searched unsuccessfully for Christa’s father for over 20 years. Christa is 31 with three children of her own. She has been looking for her father for as long as she can remember. As much as she loves stepfather David she is driven to know about her biological father. She wants to know what he looks like, why he left, and if he has ever tried to find her.
The Searchees: Dean, Christa’s biological dad—Dean is a 58-year-old corrections officer. He has twin sons and is ironically a stepfather who encouraged his own stepchildren to seek out their biological father.
