When a family member dies, sometimes they take important answers and connections with them. For Bridget, the loss of her father meant the loss in a relationship with her sister, Sara.  Bridget’s father, Frank, died in 1992 when she was only 3 years old. Afterward she grew up knowing that her father had an older daughter whom she and her Grandmother met only one time after the funeral, but other than that, the circumstances of why she was disconnected from her father’ family has always been unclear to her.  While Bridget would love to find Sara for Grandmother who is almost 90, she has also always harbored a nagging curiosity about her sister. Now that she is older, she taking matters into her own hands by contacting Troy in hopes that he can find out where Sara went and if she has ever wondered about her family, the way they’ve wondered about her.

The Searcher - Bridget - seeking her half sister- Bridget was just a toddler when her father passed away therefore she has no real memories of her sister and only stories from her family to go by. Sara’s name would come up from time to time amongst her father’s family, especially her Grandmother; however nobody knew what became of Sara after the one and only time that they met her. Finding her sister has always been in the back of her mind, but now that she is married and has a child of her own, the importance of family has come to the forefront, and she doesn’t want to waste another minute.  Every year Bridget gathers with her family over the holidays and they all talk about Sara and where she might be. But this year, Bridget would like to be able to invite her to the family gathering instead and she is hoping that Troy and his team could help make that happen.

The Searchee – Sara - Bridget’s half sister- Sara was thrilled to learn that her little sister has been wondering about her and wanted to find her.  Because Sara grew up in an open adoption situation, being able to have contact with her birthmother has been wonderful, but she really knows nothing about her father’s side of the family. Now that she is older, she has so many questions about who her father was and what he was like, but she is ecstatic about the possibility of a newfound relationship with her sister.
