Episode Summary: Twenty-four-year-old Andrea grew up in the loving, supportive home of her adoptive parents, but she's never felt complete without knowing her birth mother. Despite being surrounded by love, Andrea has struggled with drugs, alcohol, and self-mutilation. Andrea has contacted Troy, hoping he can find Mary so she can finally learn about her life's first chapter and ask why she was given up for adoption.

The Searchers: Andrea - seeking her biological mother - Andrea believes that her biological mother, Mary, had two other children, and this has left her wondering, “Why didn't you keep me? Why was I the bad one? Andrea hopes that Mary will at least be willing to meet her and answer the questions she's been asking her entire life.

The Searchees: Mary - Andrea's mother-Mary was going through an unstable time in her life when she became pregnant. She decided to put her baby's interests above her own and place her with a good family where she would want for nothing. Her other children have always known about “Baby Jennifer” and they, along with her husband, have all been very supportive of Mary's hopes to someday be reunited with her. Even though Mary's own searches have been fruitless, she knew that the day would come where she would finally meet her daughter and be able to tell her why she made the choices she did.
