The Searcher: Katie Wynn - My name is Katie Wynn. I'm 29 years old and I was adopted when I was 3 days old. I was born in Dallas, Texas and brought to St. Paul, Minnesota where I grew up with my adopted parents Cindy and Bill Young. I have a brother Kyle who is also adopted from Seoul Korea. He is 21 and still lives at home in Minnesota.
I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona when I was 20 years old to explore new things and spread my wings. I've always wondered about my birth mother, who she was, what she looked like, if she thought of me on my birthday and if I looked like her. I would go thru spurts of wanting to find her and just feeling hopeless since I only had an extremely common name - Kathy Anderson. I remember writing letters and wanting to mail them and finding out how many ways there are to spell "Kathy" and "Anderson" so I hid them and went on with my life for a long time.
The Searchee: Kathy Anderson - I was in Dallas, Texas when I had Katie, however, I moved to Austin in 1991. I have three daughters who are all full biological sisters. Portia and Alicia both live in Austin with their husbands and children. Katie is now living with me in Austin. The father of all three girls also lives in Austin. I am recently divorced from my husband of almost 20 years. I owned my own business until a year ago and now I spend my days mostly with all the girls and grand-kids.
The only search I did to look for Katie was online adoption sites to see if anyone was looking for me. I had decided long ago not to interrupt Katie's life because I did not know if she knew she was adopted.
