Age: 36 Location: Pennsburg, PA Years of Experience: 1 Carolina is a former fashion designer from Puerto Rico and proud mother of three. Always creative - she makes jewelry, does glass fusing and bead making - her designs always come back to fashion. She started baking cakes when a friend asked her to help organize a childʼs birthday party. From there, she was hooked. “I use my fashion background every day when I make cakes. From my color choices to the way a fabric element might lay or fold.” Since sheʼs no professional, Carolina bakes out of her Pennsylvania home, which can be difficult thanks to her rambunctious children. But with the help of her husband Juan, things always seem to come together. According to Juan, helping his wife decorate cakes “is my one chance to be completely honest with her.” Carolina may have the least experience of all our competitors, but sheʼs come a long way in just one year.
