As one of the freshest, most innovative event coordinators in Mississippi, Shanna Marie Lumpkin, owner of A Southern Affair, has been exceeding her clients' expectations since the creation of her company in 2003. She is known for her passion and commitment to her growing list of clients. Lumpkin has created events from the intimate and elegant to the extravagant and opulent. Lumpkin started A Southern Affair while completing her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University. After graduation she continued to run her company out of her home, while working as a first grade teacher. As A Southern Affair began to grow quickly, she opened a full service wedding planning showroom and now runs the event coordinating company from her store front offices. Currently, Lumpkin orchestrates between 15-20 events simultaneously, as well as running a full service bridal retail shop, carrying couture bridal gowns, bridesmaids gowns, invitations and bridal accessories. Lumpkin is known for her ability understand the needs of her clients on a personal level and in turn relieves their stress and eases them through the wedding planning process. Lumpkin’s calming nature combined with her flare for the dramatic components of planning a wedding makes her a perfect mix for her clients. |
