How long have your been dreaming of your wedding day? Actually I’ve never dreamed of getting married until I started dating Wil (my fiancée), which wasn’t until I was 19. My dream wedding is a David Tutera wedding – just drapery, gorgeous but extravagant centerpieces something no one else would have I like to be different. It would be a mixture of romantic meets chic and contemporary with a whole lot of bling! I would love to have a cocktail hour with lots of different drinks and hors d'oeuvres. I would also love a second line band to show my New Orleans roots!

What is the approx. wedding budget? $11,000, but we're already OVER budget.

Who’s paying for the wedding? Mostly me and my fiancée with my mom helping out with some of the cost.

Whose in charge of the budget? Me of course! He knows how much everything is costing, but he hasn’t said no to paying for it.

What happens if you go over budget? Oh, please! We already over and we haven’t even paid for everything yet!!!!!!

Describe your dream wedding dress. My dream wedding dress is something simple but elegant not so simple that its plain but just enough going on to say, "OMG her dress is gorgeous, elegant and classy."

How helpful has the groom been (or not) in the planning process? I wish he would be like a regular man and just leave everything up to me, but he always want to know what going on with this and that which majority of the times start arguments regarding wedding details but in a nutshell he’s “helpful” in a annoying your in my way, stop asking me questions kind of way.

Are you trying to lose weight before the wedding?  How are you going about that?  What’s your goal?
I started trying to lose weight for the wedding but I’ve stopped since then but I may be back trying. My dress is supposed to come in mid December, so we will see if I can fit in my dress! That’ll be interesting since I know I’ve gained weight since buying my dress.

Tell us about your future In-Laws. How do you get along with them?  How does the groom get along with your parents?
My future in-laws were OK until the wedding planning started. We’re cordial and get along for the most part, but the wedding planning has been hectic because they are not cooperative. I gave strict deadlines to follow and they are NOT following them!!! Plus, I feel like something’s are being done in spite/purposely but like my fiancée says, “you can’t make people spend their money the way you want them to.” My view point on that is why the hell NOT! As far as Wil getting along with my parents they love him and get along GREAT!

Tell us about your family. How have they been involved in the planning process?  The only one PERIOD that has been involved in the planning process besides me and my fiancée is my mother. Why? Because she is the ONLY one that is helping us! She has taken over $4,000 off of our hands.

Who are your most/least favorite celebrity brides and why? I hated Gwen Stefani as a bride simply because she tried to hard to be different. A little variation never hurts I like seeing new things but, seriously I know you’re a celebrity and all but why the heck would you have the bottom of your wedding dress pink, it looks as if she filled a tub full of pink food coloring and commenced to tie dye her wedding dress? My favorite celebrity bride would have to be Eva Longoria just because she was an over the top bride, you heard all these stories about how lavish the wedding was and how crazy she went on vendors!!! My type of bride we just want everything to go right on our special day. I also like Tiny and LaLa as brides just because I think they deserved it, they waited so long to become the wife and I can relate to that, me and Wil will be together 5 years once we marry. That’s a long time to be just the girlfriend/fiancée. Plus me and LaLa wedding’s have a lot in common they went over their set budget (so did me and Wil). They had problems with cutting their guest list (so do me and Wil)!

What’s the worst thing that could go wrong on your wedding day? Someone objecting in the middle of the ceremony or maybe never getting to the ceremony because I/him never show up due to a bad argument.

What’s been your biggest stress since you started planning the wedding? My fiancée family because they’re not cooperative. I only have 8 bridesmaids, but I started out with 11 — I kicked out my former Matron of Honor and two of my fiancée cousins dropped out. I’m sure you guys can obviously see where the bulk of the stress is coming from!!!

How do you typically handle stressful situations in regards to your wedding? When regarding my fiancée family I start off venting to him which most likely starts an argument. Then if the problem continues I approach the person who it’s concerning and the outcome of how that conversation ends depends on the answers I receive. Typically regarding my family they know I just go off on them. I try to be nicer to my fiancée side but my family knows I do not care.

Of your friends, who is the straightest shooter – who always tells you the truth, no matter how bad it may be? I would have to say Tori she’s the straight shooter. The reason Tori is my wedding coordinator is because she can’t deal with all the rules and guidelines that comes with being a bridesmaid. For example, the girls will have their hair in a pent up ponytail for the wedding and Tori doesn’t wear ponytails which means that’s a disagreement with the bride and that’s not acceptable.
