Beyonce Interviews Solange About Family and Working with Master P

WE already know both of the Knowles sisters are amazing entertainers, but Queen Bey put on her interviewer hat for the February issue of Interview Magazine to question her little sister Solange Knowles.

The two chatted about everything from their childhood to their hometown of Houston. Beyoncé even asked her about working with Growing Up Hip Hop’s Master P on her album, "A Seat at the Table." Solange responded with, “I find a lot of similarities in Master P and our dad.” to which Beyoncé agreed. Solange went on to explain, “... I remember reading or hearing things about Master P that reminded me so much of Dad growing up. And they also have an incredible amount of love and respect for one another. And I wanted a voice throughout the record that represented empowerment and independence, the voice of someone who never gave in, even when it was easy to lose sight of everything that he built, someone invested in black people, invested in our community and our storytelling, in empowering his people. You and I were raised being told not to take the first thing that came our way, to build our own platforms, our own spaces, if they weren't available to us. And I think that he is such a powerful example of that.”

Beyonce also talked about how much she loved Solange’s 2014 wedding photo calling it the dopest of all time. Adding that her proudest sister moment was introducing Solange to her hero Nas. When Beyoncé asked Solange how she was as a big sister, Solange responded, “You did a kickass job. You were the most patient, loving, wonderful sister ever.”

WE have all the feels right now!
