Country Grammar: “I’m Sweating Like a Wh*re in Church”

WE love Mama June and her family, but sometimes it’s just hard to understand what everyone is saying. Check out some of the country grammar WE've translated from last Friday's episode Mama June: From Not to Hot!

Alana: “What do you have in those boxes, 50 pounds of dang on brick?”

TRANSLATION: Those boxes which you are moving into our home are extremely heavy, what are you even carrying in there?

June: “Alana likes to be in control and Alana’s competitive, so be’n somebody’s sidekick or having to be second nudge to somebody, that ain’t what Alana’s all about."

TRANSLATION: Alana has a controlling and competitive nature, and therefore I doubt she will appreciate the idea of helping an alternate coach help me win the pageant, that is just not Alana’s personality.

Josh: “I’m sweating like a wh*re in church”

TRANSLATION: I am extremely nervous

Alana: “I heard that men are from Mars and women are from Venus, so it’s hard for them to co-habitate, and guys like to burp and fart a lot, maybe we’ll get along just great.”

TRANSLATION: Men and women are so different that they could be considered two different species entirely and this is why it is difficult for them to live together. Men enjoy rather unmentionable activities such as creating flatulence, however, perhaps we will be able to live together quite well because I enjoy those activities too.

Alana: “What the heck is a sorority test? Just 'cause he’s pretty, does not mean he’s getting in a sorority.”

TRANSLATION: What is a sobriety test?

Big Mike: “I’m like June’s big brother and sh*t, you know, kinda look after her and tryna’ help her on some of these guys she picks. I mean, she has (unintelligible speaking) taste in men.”

TRANSLATION: I often act as June’s older sibling and protector, and attempt to look out for her well being, especially in regards to the men she selects to date. She has a track record of appalling taste in the gentlemen she selects.

June: “This b*tch look good, nowadays.”

TRANSLATION: I look wonderful and love my new body!

WE can’t wait to see what other crazy country grammar is coming this season, don’t miss a second of it on Mama June: From Not to Hot, Friday at 9|8c!
