Legendary music executive and dad to Boogie, Damon Dash has been open about his Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, but he's also not letting it control his life. Instead, Dash is making his voice heard by launching a network dedicated to guiding people with diabetes called The Dash Diabetes Network. Centered around videos, interviews and cooking segments, all the content is meant to help inform those living with diabetes.

Dash dropped a preview of the first episode where he sat down with the cast of #GUHH’s - Boogie Dash, Kristinia DeBarge, and TJ Mizell. Check out the teaser below!

In an interview with ESSENCE Damon explained why he launched the network.

"A diabetic always wants to help another diabetic," Dash said. "I would bring holistic doctors [on the network]  and a real doctor in the room, and start asking them questions and start hearing their theories together. And let them argue. Those are the conversations that would be stimulating in the concept from the Diabetes Network. All those things that come with the lifestyle of a diabetic, the questions, all of that. Eventually, it should be a full 24-hour cable channel."
