At the height of her career and on the cusp of her forthcoming album’s release, Tamar Braxton has announced that "Bluebird of Happiness" will be her last album.

WE were just as shocked as all of her fans! In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Grammy-nominated singer explained her decision.

"There are a lot of things that I want to do, and a lot of things that are in the works,” Tamar explained. “There's a lot of things that are going on in my relationship and me being close to this music industry, and whatever I can do to eliminate all of the stress and problems off of my relationship, I would rather do that."

“My husband and I work very close together and it’s really hard, you know?” Tamar continued, “Not only do we work together, he is my baby daddy, and you know, we’ve been together forever. He’s my best friend. It’s a lot of things to discuss and argue about.”

"Bluebird of Happiness" will be Tamar’s fourth studio album and will be released this Friday!

"I am nerv-cited,” she said about the release. “I'm nervous and excited at the same time. This has just been a project that's been so close to me, and I've worked really hard on it and it was kind of, like, the soundtrack to my life at the time.”

She went on to say the title of the album comes from an old folktale about a bluebird who wakes up one day itching for a new life, and after looking for something better, the bluebird finds itself back home and that’s the journey Tamar says she took before writing the album.

That's the bad news, but the good news is Tamar is about to kick off a tour with Xscape and Monica.

“Everybody knows a Tamartian tour is the best place to be in life,” she notes. “Get your life, honey!”

But what’s next for her after the tour wraps up? Braxton plans to write songs for other musicians and continue to focus on family.

“When I go home, that's my home. I always want to keep my home a sanctuary and somewhere safe. Not just for me, but for my husband and my kid."

WE hear Tamar could be donning her talk show host hat again after exiting The Real in 2016. She told ET, that she’s eyeing a comeback.
