TJ Mizell Honors Late Father Through JMJ Foundation for Music
When TJ Mizell isn’t spinning at some of the hottest venues across the globe or filming Growing Up Hip Hop, he is dedicated to honoring his late father’s memory through his work for the JMJ Foundation for Music.
The foundation honors Jam Master Jay’s legacy of creativity and community by ensuring students do not lose their access to music, dance, and performing arts classes in schools. (These classes are frequently among the first to be eliminated or reduced when schools are facing budget cuts.) By ensuring that social Justice, Arts and Music education (J.A.M.) are able to remain in every school throughout the country, the JMJ Foundation feels strongly that all students - regardless of their socio-economic status - will be challenged, enriched, and ready to expand their world views through artistic expression.
WE admire TJ’s dedication to the JMJ Foundation for Music. To learn more about it and to make a donation, visit www.jammasterjay.org/JMJfoundation.html.
